Dreams : Western interpretation

I will just list some of the symbolic meanings of the dream symbols which I am getting from; (Stones, P. 2011. How to Interpret Dreams and Visions. Charisma House: Florida.).

"Dog- unclean, evil minded or violent person or enemy.

A Field- the world, but you should pay close attention to what is filled on the earth to describe the state of the world (literal or figurative world).

Fire- can refer to a trial, negative words being spoken, a purging of someone, or some situation that is going to occur.

Flowers- fresh beginnings, passing of the old…

Lamb- ultimate sacrifice, flock of believers or the church.

Left Hand- refers to a time of trial or seasons where it may appear that God is not working for us.

Lightning- This will depend on the setting and circumstances of the dream. Usually refers to a troubling time that is to come.

Rain- Growth, blessings…

Snake- Enemy(ies)"

Falling- Major life problem (work, relationships, etc)

Teeth falling out- loss of confidence

Being naked- feelings of vulnerability and anxiety

Test-taking- stress

Death- termination of something in your life

Being chased- confront your problems, stop running.

Flying- let go of control

Pregnancy- a start of new ideas or problems

These are just the few from the book, but some symbols I use to interpret are from my African cultural upbringing, so there is no one way of interpreting your dream as long as it makes sense to you at that time or later in time.
