Pull up your socks

I will be adding this try out method with the one above in the previous blog post to help me get this degree with better marks, because my marks are ranging between 50% - 60%, which isn’t good enough for me because I envision myself practising law at one of the Big 5 law firms, and therefore I have to get AMAZING marks! So I have to pull up my socks ASAP.
So be honest, and ask yourself, what is it that you want to be successful in and if you are truly ready to make the changes to be successful in the things you have set your mind too. Try this method out, and see if this kind of stroke works for you as a folk.
I’ll give you feedback on these methods after the first semester of my academic year on these rules to success with regards to my academic progress (because I wrote this post 4 years ago, it will be based on my first degree, not my current, therefore my feedback will be posted the following Sunday) . You are more than welcome to do this particular success build up try-out 6-month crash course, and give me feedback too.
1) Sacrifice social media and television: unless this aids you in becoming successful
2) Give up the need to being liked: let your haters be your motivators. “In short term, you might sacrifice a bit of gratification, but when your goals come to fruition, it will be worth it”.
3) Leave toxic people: I have been saying this in some of my earlier posts! The people that you surround yourself with are a reflection of you, and because of that they can affect your spirit and view from others. All in all, let your vibe attract the right tribe.
4) You can’t control everything: I know that I struggle with this A LOT! I have been told that some things are out of our control, and so I am telling you the same.
5) Give up multitasking: “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks”-Winston. S. Churchill
6) Gain new knowledge: an old dog can learn new tricks. “Develop a growth mind-set by acquiring new knowledge, learn new skills, etc.”
7) The famous success myth: i.e. overnight success. There is no such thing as that, all good things take time (remember my time and your time are two different things, so run your race, stay in your lane and keep your eyes forward).
8) Give up playing small: “You playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone, and as we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”-Marianne Williamson
9) Adapt long term goals than short term: Reason for this is “successful people set long term goals, and they know these aims are merely the result of short-term habits that they need to do every day.
10)Unhealthy lifestyle: “Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live”- Jim Rohn. If you want your machine to put in the work, you need to oil it and not overwork it otherwise it will malfunction and not do the job successfully. So, take care of your health so you can live long and have a long successful run on this earth, even when you have passed on to the afterlife; your success can be passed down to generations.
DISCLAIMER: The ten rules I am about to discuss are from a website which I unfortunately forgot to pay attention to that major detail. Therefore, the parts that are not mine I have quoted. As my readers I will be honest with you and say some of the ideas in this post are not of my intellectual property and sadly without the detail I can’t reference the author and give due credit where it is needed, therefore do forgive me for my negligence.
