When will it be my turn?

If you had spoken to me about 3/4 weeks ago, you would not like the energy that was surrounding me. 2021 has not been the best year as of right now, emotionally. I am seeking employment and right now it is rough! I understand that COVID has put a financial strain on businesses and some have even been liquidated, leaving certain industries saturated with graduates and ex employees all gunning for the same position. Then again, I am human, I have emotions that react to the situation I am in, in not the best way.

I am in a much better space now because of family and friends that have supported me emotionally. To which I am so grateful because there was a good couple of months where my emotions were all the way negative. Now I am not saying I don't have those times where I do not feel good, but that is exactly it ... it is for that time and no longer days or months, so there is progress on my side.

How did I learn to get better emotionally during this pandemic;

- family and friends;

- I avoid topics about job seeking;

- prayer;

- I took my own advice from my OWN blog posts:

like counting my blessings,

exercising (which creates endorphins i.e. happy hormones)

affirmations and manifestations

Honestly, what I have learned from my emotional roller coaster is that; no one owes you anything, so get up and get yours. Control what you can. So, yes, I am going to think of ways to make MY own source of income. I am not waiting to be paid, I am not built like that. I am INVESTING in myself!

I am hoping that the above coping mechanisms will assist you in shifting the current mood/mindset you are in, no matter which department of life that feels stagnant; that could be fertility, marriage, health, academics, death, familial relationships etc. YOU ARE NOT ALONE, this life thing is about progress, patience and taking control of what you can because when you make plans, God laughs.
